Please join us in honoring Airmid: goddess, healer and sister.

_Location_

We will be at the Plum Creek Picnic Area (not the Plum Creek Nature Area), in Chatfield Sate Park. You can find a pdf map of the park here:

Please note that there will be an $8 fee per car to enter the park. Feel free to use the comments/list to arrange car-pools.

_Feast_

We'll start with an outdoor feast. As usual, toasting, stories, boasting and music are encouraged. Prepare one or more, as you wish.

Please bring a dish to share that feeds 8.

To honor Airmid, herbs are the food of the day. Liberally flavor all the food you bring with plenty of herbs. Round out our menu below with foods in season.

Menu, thus far:
Chris and Kelley are bringing a potato dish and artichokes.
Brad and Katie are bringing asparagus.

_Taking it Deeper_

If you wish to participate more fully in the occasion, consider doing one or more of the following:

-- Bring a personal offering to Airmid or a member of her family you wish to honor. Remember that personal offerings can be active; songs, poetry, and movement are all welcome. If you wish to pledge to do an action in her honor, please contact us beforehand.

-- Airmid is particularly known for healing. There will be two opportunities for healing. As we enter the area set aside for offerings, we will pass through a hoop, which will be broken and later taken to be burned, a traditional method of getting rid of disease. Also, should Airmid grant us a blessing, we will sprinkle individuals with a tissane especially made to evoke healing properties.

If you wish, have in mind anything that may be disharmonious or diseased in your life, to focus the healing on that part of your life.

-- Bring one or a few garden tools to bless.

-- There will be a part where you will be invited to take off your shoes. If you would like to do so, please consider wearing easily removed and replaced shoes.

-- For more information on the expected activities and how to participate, check out the program at:

-- For an at home activity, you may honor Airmid through use and cultivation of herbs. Harvest some early spring herbs or transplant some into your garden or window box, in her name.
