Greetings and Hallucinations.

I know it has been quite a while since I have been seen in the daylight (or on the Internet), but now that most of the winter craziness has subsided, I thought I'd take a minute to let you all know how I've been and what I've been up to.

This December was wonderful. I got to see most of my family that either lives too far away or is too busy to see the rest of the year. We had our traditions once again this year. which include decorating Christmas cookies even though all the "kids" are now in their twenties. On the winter solstice our family gathered to have a very cathartic letting go complete with potluck and a fire ceremony; this is, incidentally, my favorite thing about winter. I got to spend New Year's eve with some rather extended family. I'm not quite sure how I was "related" to most of the people gathered, to tell you the truth. However, for those of you who know me well, you will find this update rather old hat, so, on to the new and exciting news.

I had an interview on Monday for a clerk position with 24 Hour Fitness, was hired, and have my first training shift this morning. This is my first step in being able to get out of a terrible situation at my current job. I will have to be working two jobs, though, until a promotion or full time spot opens up at the gym. With that in mind, I'm not sure how often I will be able to make it in person to the reading groups or other events, but I assure you I will continue to be active on the list and try to participate when I can, in the flesh.

That's my story, and I should probably stop typing and get ready to start my new job today.

Peace and Prosperity,
-Sebastian
