This Sunday is Cailleach Day. If you haven't already and are planning on
attending, please let us know; we'd love to see you all there!
If this is your first time at Milliken Park, or you just need a
reminder, here are some directions:
Take Broadway to Panama (located between Orchard and Dry Creek).
East on Panama to Clarkson Street. It will be your first left.
Left on Clarkson to head north. Milliken Park will be on your left.
In addition to the "Taking it Deeper" elements, there will be verbal and
physical participatory element during the offerings. We will cover
physical actions during the briefing, but, in the interesting of
encouraging more participation, here are the verbal participatory
elements, so you know before you get there:
-- When we make a call to Angus, we will call him by three different
names; afterwards, help us call to him by saying "Come to meet your bride!"
-- Similarly, when we call Bride's name three times, say "Come to meet
your husband!"
-- If you would like to lend your voice to the Blessing of the
Evergreens, help us by saying:
"The blessings of the Ever Green, the blessings of Tir na Nog in the
West, the blessings of Eternal Spring, upon this twig, and in your
heart, in your mind, in your hands."
-- We will end the offerings, as always, with the traditional benediction:
"May the sacred Land support us.
May the eternal Sea surround us.
May the endless Sky watch over us."
-- Chris and Kelley.
