Thanks to Roy and Sebastian for coming out yesterday; we had a great
discussion! Of, course, Chris and I were also there.
At this point, we encourage anyone who is reading along to bring up any
questions or comments they may have regarding the book or to weight in
on what we discussed at the group.
We started by discussing a question Sebastian had some time ago about
the seeming contradictions between the philosophy of unjust or untrue
actions being reflected in the natural world and the conversion of the
Celtic peoples to Christianity.
First, we discussed the practicalities of the issue: were there
ramifications in the world due to the conversion? Then, we covered the
ethical ramifications: was the conversion to Christianity _Just_, in the
philosophical sense of the word? Is it Just for us to attempt the
reconstruction of the Pagan faith?
This led to a discussion of the treatment of Pagan sites in the Celtic
Lands and property rights.
We started discussing values and a values-based world view. Roy wanted
to know if there was _enough_ info to do a reconstruction and then we
combined the two and discussed perfection, values and the nature of info.
We ended with us heading down to the river and Chris giving an offering
of amber to Sovereignty.
-- Kelley.
