Here is an update on what I've been up to lately....

On Aug. 8th, the brakes on my father's Yukon failed as he was approachingtraffic stopped at a red-light, in Cheyenne, Wyo.   Realizingthat the Yukon could easily maim or even kill someone in one or the cars,he decided to hit the semi that was also at the light.  Needless tosay, to Yukon is totaled!

Now for the GOOD news - Dad's only injury is a "Plateaufracture" of his left tibia (leg/shin bone).  So after a"24hr observation" hospital stay, he was able to comehome.
Now for the bad news - he can not put Any weight on his left leg. This means that he's using a walker to get around the house, that is whenhe's got enough strength - the rest of the time - I'm holding him up frombehind, or pulling him up to sitting &/or onto the bed so he can liedown.

So, as he gets stronger, Mom & I are getting weaker!  Mom ishaving to do not only all of her chores, she's now having to do most ofDad's.  I'm doing as many as I can, as-well-as being his "homehealth aide".
