Here is an update on what I've been up to lately....

On Aug. 8th, the brakes on my father's Yukon failed as he was 
approaching traffic stopped at a red-light, in Cheyenne, 
Wyo.   Realizing that the Yukon could easily maim or even kill 
someone in one or the cars, he decided to hit the semi that was also 
at the light.  Needless to say, to Yukon is totaled!

Now for the GOOD news - Dad's only injury is a "Plateau fracture" of 
his left tibia (leg/shin bone).  So after a "24hr observation" 
hospital stay, he was able to come home.
Now for the bad news - he can not put Any weight on his left 
leg.  This means that he's using a walker to get around the house, 
that is when he's got enough strength - the rest of the time - I'm 
holding him up from behind, or pulling him up to sitting &/or onto 
the bed so he can lie down.

So, as he gets stronger, Mom & I are getting weaker!  Mom is having 
to do not only all of her chores, she's now having to do most of 
Dad's.  I'm doing as many as I can, as-well-as being his "home health aide".
