Well, this may sound like a pretty odd thing to even consider as a celebration, but what we did was put up a temporary ceiling (we have to get the roof replaced before we can do any permanent work) in the livingroom so that it's no longer 99F in the livingroom with the a/c set at 72F I am not joking.  Once it started cooling down to a livable 86F, there was much rejoicing!

The boys were upset because we missed the campout with our grove because we had to deal with trying to make our 1939 shack barely livable.  So.  I ordered them pizza from Domino's and there was much rejoicing!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
